Elizabeth Sykes Batiks, Bridgend
Liz Sykes is a batik artist working on the Isle of Islay in Scotland's Hebrides. Beatiful pictures of  Islay and sourroundings. Distilleries, birds, views, flowers and much more! The Studio and Gallery are in the old Joiner's workshop in Islay House Square, Bridgend. Visitors are very welcome. You can frequently see batik being made in the studio; if you want to make sure, phone us before you come. All of our picture framing is done here, too.

The Islay Woollen Mill, Bridgend
Located 1.5 miles from Bridgend towards Port Askaig. The Mill is owned and run by Gordon and Sheila Covell and produces an excellent range of top quality woven fabrics much in demand by the Hollywood film industry. Islay Woollen Mill designs were featured in 'Braveheart starring Mel Gibson and 'Forrest Gump' with Tom Hanks. The Mill shop is open from Monday to Saturday and features a wide selection of both Woollen Mill products and quality souvenirs of Islay.

Persabus Pottery, Port Askaig
Persabus Pottery is a small, cottage pottery situated on Persabus Farm near Port Askaig on the Isle of Islay. The quality pottery is produced by hand and features exclusive designs only available from Persabus. Arra and Iomhor Fletcher also produce many items for the island's distilleries.
